There was a hoopla ho few days back and the newspaper were flooded with the news ‘item’ that SRK was frisked and  questioned closely by CBP agents on his arrival at Newark’s Liberty International Airport with emphasis on ascertaining his local US contacts and engagements. After months the newspaper had headlines anything apart to do with the ongoing Swine Flu Mania!!!

Later it was revealed that there was a confusion regarding the local contacts of SRK in the city, one of them being Mr. Altaf Hussain, who was a local agent for bollywood showbiz market in Chicago, incidentally, the Chicago-based Altaf Hussain bears the same name as the London-based leader of Pakistan’s Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) party, was another possible trigger for the CBP red flag. That Altaf Hussain, a key player in Pakistani politics who is frequently accused of sectarian violence (most notably by Imran Khan) was a cab-driver in Chicago before he eventually returned to Pakistan to found MQM to represent Mohajir interests.

Although there was no red flag against Shah Rukh Khan’s name itself, it was his local contacts which triggered off the alert, accorded to sources who asked not to be identified. The situation was compounded by the non-arrival of his baggage from London, a particularly sensitive station in American eyes.

Now I wonder what had been the case if SRK really was a key contact with the MQM Altaf Hussain?

Being a leader why Altaf Hussain has such an image internationally that is raises red alerts? Is it State sponsored?

A party fighting for the rights of certain section of people, at an international arena stands next to a terrorist organization, is its activities really alarming or it’s just a propaganda against it to subdue the party?

If I belong to Rashtritya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS), and have my key contacts related to that party, I’m pretty sure that I will not have to undergo such question-answer sessions. Though it is in fact a venomous organization (and it is really not clear that with what object they exist!!!).

This reflects that the political rivalry between the various parties in Pakistan has reached to such extent that their matter has gone beyond their internal boundaries and has become a matter of International concern and also threat.

How far does in justify the anger and hatred against MQM, when people of Pakistan are themselves defaming their people, labeling them as terrorist and creating problems for Pakistani Muslims and other Muslims residing in Western Countries.

The propaganda against MQM, defaming it at international level like by Imran Khan and also at House of Lords, will certainly not effect the MQM and its objectives, it will instead create problems for Pakistan and its people not only this it also allows western influences over Pakistani politics which hampers its internal sovereignty.

The point to be noted here is that it was SRK, which got the issue in limelight, who was so offended by the act that he has to call a press conference, where he called it ‘regular’ saying that he is a common man and it can happen to anyone. It mustn’t have been such a big issue when ex-President Mr. APJ Kalam was frisked (he being the best man alive in India) but when it happened with SRK he felt the pain of the million of other Muslims and other Asians who have to undergo such humiliation everyday, otherwise he was sleeping.

The image of a country lies in the hands of its people and its Government and Pakistan being already troubled with Al-Qaeda, Taliban, Jamat-e-Islami, etc, etc. does not really need a political party to add to the list of terrorist organization.

Majority might disagree with its working and ideology but there are other ways to sort it out than taking the internal matters outside and washing the dirty laundry in Public…oops!!! I mean in front of International Public.
