After a year of his presidency, it is clear that President Zardari who is strictly a non-presidential material, does not have a caliber to become a president of this country.
Govt. has decided not to bring NRO in parliament, and this decision was made later at night, when govt.’s key allies withdrew their support for ‘National Robber’s Ordinance’. It’s another time that President stepped back from his decisions after the restoration of judges in March 09 and he is again in a weaker position, rather isolated.
The next step in this humiliating presidency will be to give up his superior powers with regard to the parliament and save his presidency. President will do it surely; he can do anything to remain as a president because he knows that it is his last chance to rule(loot?) the country and he will do everything he can to prolong his term.
People of Pakistan can only have a glimpse of their president on television when he is on a visit to a foreign country or if Prime Minister, COAS, or if one of his allies in PPP meets him. Known as Mr. 10%, took really unpopular steps during his one year of presidency, including the Presidential Ordinance over the petrol prices and censoring the emails and text messages. All hail to his advisers for giving him such excellent advises that can sink his popularity to the lowest level.
President Zardari should quit his presidency, and should go back to the things which he can do better.

Beautiful sarcasm I must say but still he has an option to undo his mistakes and become a good man by calling back old PPP members and surrendering his powers. I don’t know why he’ has become his own enemy.
I have developed a relatively mixed image and opinion about Pakistan Peoples Party or Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian. In terms of attitude, PPP has moderately balanced view in democracy. But, the main problem of PPP is their involvement in corruption on large scale.
PPP has always been elected on sympathy votes. Whether it is hanging of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto or assassination of Benazir Bhutto, PPP has always gained sympathy votes on the death of its leaders.
History tell us that PPP has never been lucky for Pakistan. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto broke East Pakistan [now Bangladesh]. On the death of Benazir Bhutto, millions and billions of rupees of assets and properties of private sector and public sector were destroyed by PPP workers. Pakistan Railway had to bear the loss 8 billion rupees at the death of Benazir Bhutto.
The problem is that how PPP and other political parties should get rid of their dynastic leaders, like Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Altaf Hussain, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. There is dictatorship even in the political parties of Pakistan. whether, it is PPP, PML [N] or MQM. First of all, all political parties including MQM should get rid of their dictator type leaders. We may include Tehreek-e-Insaf too in this list.
Barrister Choudhry Aitezaz Ahsan is the best choice to lead Pakistan Peoples Party or Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian.
He is not his own enemy, he is doing what he can, sorry to say, but he is doing things of his own caliber.
And I agree Shahid, PPP has always been elected on sympathy votes, thanks to our bewakuf awam, who does not the true meaning of democracy.
I agree with you Mariam, “Zardari is doing things of his own caliber”.
Agreed with Mariam and Syed Shahid Ali: This man is not fit for this position and has not done much for the nation. We need alternatives like Zaid Hamid, Imran Khan and maybe Mushahid Hussain (he looks good though I dont know too much about him)
i totally agree with marium but not fully with shahid saheb as aitizaz has always been an agent of RAW…a sold out scoundral like imran khan and allothers while mushahid is a lota…they don’t have the caliber to become president of pakistan. only musharraf saheb truely deserves the post.
Arifa Sahebah, I agree with you that only Musharraf Saheb deserves the post of the President of Pakistan. Honestly speaking, if Aitezaz has always been an agent of RAW, then he does not deserve any post. Agree totally with you on this RAW issue.
Today, President of Supreme Court Bar Association(SCBA), Qazi Mohammad Anwar said president could be summoned in the court if any case registered against him before assuming president’s office.
I really wish it happens. Reminds me of the Caliphate era of Hazrat Omar RA.
Somebody made a complaint against Hazrat Omar RA in Court. Hazrat Omar RA was summoned in the Court. The Judge stood up to show respect to the Caliph as He entered the court. “This is the first injustice you have done to the plaintiff,” said Omar RA, addressing the Judge. “Everyone is equal here.”
Modern democratic states have yet to reach this impartial level of democracy. Their heads cannot be summoned before an ordinary court, sadly!!
tanzeel i agree with u. I wish mr.president listens U.
>>>President Zardari should quit his presidency, and should go back to the things which he can do better.<<<
He is doing exactly that.
even if Zardari quits, it will not solve our problems, we have lots of concocted burning issues that are not just because of an incompitent person as said above is ruling us (remember he’s in throne for 1.5 years), the problem is our weak institutions, corruption, lack of accountability and our ‘Slave’ like foriegn policy.for me all parties who ruled in past have been un-lucky for us!
