The T20 World Champion Pakistan Team White Washed Newzealand In T20 Series after losing 3 ODI Series by 2-1.Pakistan also set the Most consecutive Wins[7] Record in T20.
Losing ODI Series was no more then a nightmare for Pakistan. Pakistan Team was playing with Full Strength while Newzealand was facing some serious injuries Problem but nevertheless they Played extremely well.
Pakistan Won first ODI by a large margin beating Newzealand by 138 runs.At thie moment its seemed that Newzealand Would never be able to Defeat Pakistan but they came back very stongly.Pakistan’s Middle Order Struggled In 2nd and 3rd ODI especially in 3rd ODI Pakistan was 89/9 at one stage but Amir and Ajmal Patnership of 103(just 3 runs short from record patnership of 106 runs) runs at number 10 position suddenly turned game into Pakistan Court.However we lost this match by 7 runs too but Amir’s 73 runs knock made him First Batsmen in history to make 73 runs at no. 10 Position and also saved Pakistan from shameful defeat.
Coming back to T20,Pakistan Continues its Winning streak by winning series by 2-0.This series was test for New Captain Shahid Afridi and Well Done to him and His team.In First Match,Imran Nazir gave Pakistan a solid and Boostful Start.He made 58 runs and also was Man of the match of this match.later on Shahid Afirdi,Abdul Razzaq and Sohail Tanveer gave Pakistan defendable and good total of 161.Newzealand batting Struggled against Strong Pakistan Bowling attack.Pakistan restricted Newzealand to 112 winning match by 49 runs.
Razzaq was best bowler of the mtach giving away only 9 runs and took 2 important wickets.Ajmal,Afridi and Amir also bowled well and took 2 wickets each.In second T20,Pakistan Won the Toss and Decided to bat First.This time Kewis restricted Nazir and dont let him to play big shots.He scored 19 runs.After a good start from Akmal Brothers,Pakistan didnot finish well.Omer Akmal played extremely well and scored 56 runs.Pakistan gave a target of 154 runs to Newzealand.Newzealand Started Well and Didnot let run rate too high.Brendon McCulum and Scott Styris Played well and made a patnership of 66 runs.
Some Big hitting From Styris at end suddenly made the match intresting but Saeed Ajmal Second last over proved turning point of this match in which he gave only 5 runs and took important wicket of McCulum made the task quite easy for Umer gul.In last over,Newzealand needed 18 runs.Styris hit six on first ball making match a little more intresting but good bowling by Umer gul didnot let kewis to Win this match and Pakistan won 2nd T20 and Series too.Umer Akmal was man of the Match.Shahid Afridi was Man of the Series
Now Pakistan will go to Newzealand to Play 3 Test Match Series.This Series is real test for Pakistan team and New Captain Muhammed Yousaf.The Squad for This test Series is as follow Salman Butt, Khurrum Manzoor, Imran Farhat,Misbah ul Haq, Mohammad Yousuf(capt), Shoaib Malik, Fawad Alam, Faisal Iqbal, Kamran Akmal (wk,vice captain), Danish Kaneria, Saeed Ajmal, Yasir Arafat, Umar Gul, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Aamer, Abdur Rauf, Umar Akmal, Sarfraz Ahmad.

Well written indeed but Omer do you think T20 should be the gauge of analyzing cricketing skills ? Why in your opinion team Pakistan is unable to make a winning combination in 50 Overs and Test matches ?
How do you see lobbying culture in cricket ? Don’t you think some players intentionally avoided performing in the leadership of Younus Khan ?
Well Tanzeel Bhai T20 is in our culture.So much T20 torunaments are played in Pakistan especially during Ramadan.So basically,our players are well aware of this format of Cricket.but this is Picnic type of Cricket.There are not so much planning.Batsmans have to go and hit Boundries.Sometimes its work some times not.On other hand,Bowlers have to bowl with lot of planning.Quick Decisions has to be taken by captain.but when we come to bigger format like 50 50 and test,there we need planning,stamina and real ability of player can be judged.So t20 is only a entertainment cricket in this busy world where people dont have much time to enjoy 50,50 and test cricket.So i must say that its good that Pakistan has consistancy in this format and people are loving it
Secondly,The grouping in pakistan team is real problem with Pakistan team and according to Sarfaraz nawaz[former pakistani player] there is group of 9 players[in urdu 9 ka tolla].only two players are performing in all conditions which are definately amir and ajmal.Some are blaming Malik for this[Allah knows the best].But i think board should really look in this matter
yes its good but again its not appreciable worldwide. For the time being its indeed a matter of enjoyment but at the end of the teams are judged by traditional cricket formats. I want your write up on reasons of weakness of Pakistani team in Test and 50/50 format. What is the actual reason of their consistent failures ?
Malik is consistent. I don’t think Malik has issues with Younus but Afridi lobby is harming cricket and we will see the same against Yousufs captaincy in test matches. They will lose there as well.
Yes.You are also right.Its really weird to hear afridi comments on captaincy after t20 world cup.it seems that afridi also wants captaincy in ODI too.And as far as i think he suceeded in this too since according to Younis latest interview that he will not command Pakistan team anymore.So lets see whats happens next

the first ever T20 competition was held way back somewhere in 1976-77 at Eidgah ground Nazimabad.
it was held during Ramzans , on the then Cemented Pitch .
Players like, Tasleem Arif, Afzal Ahmed, Liaqat Ali, Saleem yousuf, Shoaib Habib, Sajid Khan, Asif Mohammed , Amin Lakhani, Tanveer Ahmed , Haris , Akhtar Khan ….etc..etc…. participated in it.
it used to start just around 3 PM and usually ended before Maghrib.
this was the first time , Umpires in a local tournament donned , White and Black dress .
It was a highly organized affair…
and continued till Karachi fell to the terroists in and around 84 .
So Pakistanis had in them ….what it takes ….their souls drenched to the core sole in this brand of cricket.
